Jazz Ensemble
Activity Advisor: Mr. Calvin
The Shiloh Jazz Ensemble is comprised of selected students in both the 7th and 8th grade bands. The instrumentation is traditional ‘big band’ and includes alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone, trumpet, trombone, bass, piano, and drum-set.
This activity is extra-curricular and meets on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays before school. In addition to performing at all seventh and eighth grade band concerts, the Jazz Ensemble performs annually at the Parma Music Booster Fish Fry, the Hillside Jazz Festival, The Parma All-City Jazz Festival and most recently, the Annual Pioneer Conference Middle School Jazz Festival.
