The National Geographic Bee is a national contest that is done in several rounds. All 7^th and 8^th graders from Shiloh are given the preliminary qualifying test. Then the top ten students from each house are chosen to participate. First, the thirty 7^th graders compete against one another in an oral contest and then the 8^th graders. At this point, the top 5 from each grade level are chosen for the team. They participate in the final round.
