Keeping Your Schools Safe and Drug-Free  As part of a comprehensive education program to discourage the use of illegal substances by students in the Parma City School District, the Department of Safety and Security in cooperation with the K-9 Unit of the Parma Police Department has been conducting searches in all secondary schools for the past three years. The searches are conducted on a yearly basis in certain areas of the schools. |

 This is what a K-9 "hit" on a locker looks like. These searches are also part of the K-9 training. Each dog must be allowed to find a planted "hit" and must be rewarded for their work. | |
