Summary
The purpose of this session is to help participants 1) understand what a VPN (Virtual Private Network) is and how it can be used to access district network resource and provide remote desktop access 2) learn about the software (free and service based) and hardware appliance options 3) the pros and cons of various solutions, 4) questions to consider when selecting a solution and 5) the results of one districts migration from a service to a hardware appliance. Remote desktop, remote intranet access and remote file access will be demonstrated. Management of the system will also be demonstrated.
