New England Field Trip Day 2

Boston Trip – Day Two:  Day two here in Boston and boy has today been busy! After a great breakfast of Dunkin' Donuts graciously given to us by the teachers, we all boarded the buses to go to Plymoth, Massachusetts. When we arrived in Plymoth, our first stop was the Mayflower II, but we had an hour to burn so we stopped and looked at Plymoth Rock. Today was frigidly freezing, so to warm us up we played an extreme game of red rover. Finally we all toured the Mayflower II, and met roleplayers who talked about their voyage to the "New World". Next, we went to Plymoth Plantation and visited the Wampanoag village and a recreation of an English colony.

Then we left for Rhode Island to visit the Newport Mansions. We toured The Breakers, an amazingly beautiful mansion with 70 rooms, 23 bathrooms, and a breathtaking oceanside view. After that, we quickly dashed off the bus to take a picture behind the mansion from The Great Gatsby.

After that, we headed back to Massachusetts to tour the Boston Commons with Mr. Maxon as our tour guide. Then we walked to the Hard Rock Cafe for dinner. After some delicious cheeseburgers and cookies, we went back to our hotel. What an exhausting day!
