New England Field Trip Day 3

Boston Trip – Day Three:   Hello from Boston!  In the morning, a group consisting of Andy, Cory, Brad, Jordan, and Matthew got locked out of their room.  This was because the electronic key cards did not function.  After being assisted by an employee, the group managed to open the door by a special hotel maintenance device.  Before leaving, I was the last one to notice the hotel had put up a sign welcoming us and I snapped a picture.

After visiting the Plymouth Rock (Ms. Wozniak calls the Plymouth Pebble), we played a ferocious game of classic American Football while we waited for Mayflower II to open at 9 A.M.  There were many great plays made, but in the end it was too close to call, in my opinion.  (When you write, you can twist the facts to exaggerate your side, only when the fib is not harming anyone.)  On board the Mayflower II, we asked many interesting questions of what life was like on the journey from Europe to Cape Cod.  We learned the truths and myths of the legendary journey.  Did you know they measured ships back then by how much cargo they could hold over their length, which we use nowadays?

Next, we went to Plimoth Plantation.  There, we interacted to an even greater extent with the portrayers.  We even had an incident with Kayla as she attempted to flirt with Francis.  Her tries were regretfully denied by the 18-year-old Englishman as we learned the etiquette of courting in the settlement.  Her makeshift father, Jon, the bus 1 tour guide, did not convince Francis or his mother of any future between the two.  In the afternoon, we shopped at Quincy Market and ate at Durgin Park, which was established before we were born.  In the evening, we saw the Blue Man Group, which put on an awesome show.  We recommend seeing this performance, called "Tubes."
