The Board of Education, Superintendent and Treasurer will be holding Town hall Meetings to answer your questions regarding the school levies on the March 4 ballot.
The Parma Board of Education invites you to attend a town hall meeting at one of our three high schools:
- Tuesday, January 29 at Parma
- Thursday, January 31 at Valley Forge
- Tuesday, February 4 at Normandy
All meetings begin at 7 p.m. The Board of Education, Superintendent and Treasurer will be present to answer your questions regarding the school levies on the March 4 ballot.
Issue 9 is a 5.5 mill new continuing levy that would allow for upgrades in the areas of safety and security, textbooks, technology and staff development as the district pursues its goal of achieving excellence. The Board of Education and Administration continue to tighten their belts and sharpen their pencils to make the 5.5 mill levy the LOWEST NEW MONEY request over the past 40 years ($168 annually on a $100,000 home).
Issue 8 is NO TAX INCREASE RENEWAL levy which provides funds for building maintenance, utility costs and the continued delivery of a quality education to our students. This levy, which by law WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR TAXES, is essential to the daily operation of the district.
