Alameda County Library Decades report site has numerous links to help high school students study the various decades for social studies and English reports.

Algebra Help is a collection of tools created to assist students and teachers of algebra.  The site also has step-by-step solutions, calculators, and interactive worksheets for practicing.

American Cultural History presents a series of Web guides on the decades of the 20th century with a link to its new 19th century site.

America’s Story is a link within the Library of Congress website that will be useful for students in their study of U.S. history.

Amusement Park Physics allows students to design their own roller coaster.

ArtCyclopedia can supplement the AMICO site found within the INFOhio databases. This database explores 125,000 great works of art. The site can be searched by artist, by the title of the piece of art or by museums.

Ben's Guide to U.S. Government for Kids will teach how our government works and the use of the primary source materials of Government Printing Office Access.

Biographical Dictionary has information on more than 28,000 notable persons who have shaped our world from ancient time to the present.

CIA World Factbook maintained by the CIA has basic information about countries, maps, history, and flags of countries of the world.

ConvertIt gives measurements, currencies, world time, calculator and reference information.

Decade Parade provides links to historic headlines and sound samples by decades.

Encyclopedia Mythica is an online encyclopedia of world mythology, folklore, and legend.

50States not only has a huge amount of information on each of the U.S. states, but also has maps, public records, sports, college, city, and biographical guides.

First Nations Compact Histories has 48 selected Native American tribes with their history, location, culture, populations, names, languages, and more. 

The Great Buildings Collection will be helpful to the high school student who needs to know about over 800 great buildings from around the world. Included is information on architects, and there are some 3D models.

History Channel has This Day In History as well as subject links to different periods of history.

History for Kids contains information on the food, art, fashion, history, religion, economy, etc. in Europe, Asia and Africa before 1500 AD.

Holidays Around the World provides brief information from World Book about holidays from around the globe. (temporarily unavailable) 

IPL POTUS is a link within the Internet Public Library to all the U.S. presidents. It will be a helpful site to upper elementary through high school students about our presidents.

Mapquest will take you from your house to your destination with a map and written directions.

*MyPyramid is an online nutrition site from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.  It can help a person choose the foods and portions that are right for them.  Games for all ages are included. 

OPLIN: Discover Ohio is the place to go to learn just about anything there is to know about the Buckeye State.

PhobiaGuide is an alphabetical guide that defines a multitude of phobias.

Poets’ Corner helps students find poetry by subject, author or title and information is available about the lives of poets.

Portals of the World is another site within the Library of Congress site. Detailed information can be found on countries throughout the world.

PsychTests is the largest online battery of professionally developed psychological developed tests.

Science Daily links to the latest research news including science, health, computing, etc.

Science Made Simple is a conversion site, converting area, currency, distance, money, power, pressure, stress, speed, temperature, time, volume, weight and more.

University of Texas Library Map collection will help students find historical maps, outline maps, city maps, country maps, state maps and more.

Virtual Library Museums helps students find museums all over the world, their locations, their collections, their special exhibits, depending on the museum.

Washington, D.C. links to numerous sites about attractions in our nation's capitol.  Created by Shiloh Middle School Social Studies teacher Mr. Gigliotti. 

Washington, D.C. - National Museum of the American Indian is the newest Smithsonian museum, which opened March 24, 2007.

Washington, D.C. - Women in Military Service for America Memorial is located in Arlington Cemetery the 2 million women who have served the Nation's military since 1776.

Washington, D.C. - Architect of the Capitol is responsible to the U.S. Congress for preserving, maintaining, and operation of the Captiol Complex. 

Washington, D.C. List of Sites includes links to a large variety of places to visit in and around D.C.

Webmath gives students practice in solving problems and equations for different math topics.  In addition, there are useful online math tools.
