The active and involved PTA members at Green Valley demonstrate the strength of parental support at the school. Parent volunteers, coordinated through PTA, can be seen helping out at Green Valley throughout the school day. Whether it's assisting with a classroom project, decorating a bulletin board, running a fundraiser or selling lunch tickets, friendly PTA volunteers are always there to lend a smile and a helping hand.
Even more important to the students, is all of the fun activities that PTA sponsors throughout the school year. Thanks to the generosity of PTA, students will enjoy educating and fun assemblies this school year. They will also learn the dangers of substance abuse through activities PTA arranges during Red Ribbon Week. Before the holidays, students have the opportunity to shop in secret for all of their loved ones at the PTA Holiday Shoppe. After the holidays, students get to show off all of the fantastic talent at Green Valley when performing at the annual Talent Show.
All Green Valley families are invited to join PTA for a Family Fun Night each school year. The theme of the Fun Night may vary from year to year, but the “fun” is always there. With the spring flowers comes the Book Fair and Ice Cream Social. Students and parents get to enjoy an evening of browsing through educational and entertaining books, while enjoying the company of friends at the delicious Ice Cream Social.
Before the end of the school year, students enjoy an invigorating day of activities and challenges at the annual Fun & Field Day. Oh, and don’t forget all of the classroom parties held throughout the school year. Students always look forward to the fun provided by the room parents at those special parties.
