Principal's Message

Welcome to Green Valley Elementary School! For the 2010-2011 school year our school will have an enrollment of approximately 480 students in grades K-6. We display pride in all that we do! We are extremely proud to announce that we have received the rating of EXCELLENT with DISTINCTION from the State of Ohio, Department of Education for 2008-2009 and 2009-2010.

Our school flourishes and excels because of an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, dedicated staff, as well as bright, happy students and tremendously supportive parents and community.

Our building is fortunate to have several business and community partners.　 Our PTA is　always ready and willing to serve the students and staff.　 They provide many activities throughout the year such as book fairs, family fun nights, and assemblies of the highest quality.　 The PSE Credit Union brings banking opportunities for our students each week.　 Huntington Learning Center supports our many celebrations we have in the building by providing treats!　 Normandy students, our parents, grandparents, and OASIS volunteers help mentor our students.

Each year we have a reading theme. Our goal is to read a collective two million minutes. We use a rewards store and special recognition program to provide students with the extrinsic motivation to "Be the best they can be!"
