County Voucher Program
Cuyahoga County Day Care Vouchers are accepted in most of our EDC programs. You are required to pay the full tuition rate until your receive your Letter of Placement and Payment and the voucher. If you have questions regarding day care vouchers please call the office at (440) 885-2305.
Tuition Rates
The Extended Day Care Program does not charge tuition fees on a daily or hourly basis. As indicated below, we have either a 1-3 day or a 4-5 day weekly tuition rate per EDC Program. The following rates are subject to change:
BEFORE SCHOOL: available 7:00 AM to 9:15 AM
Full Time (four to five days) = $31.50 per child, per week
Part Time (one to three days) = $28.50 per child, per week
AFTER SCHOOL: available 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Full Time (four to five days) = $39.50 per child, per week
Part Time (one to three days) = $34.50 per child, per week
KINDERGARTEN: available from 11:45 AM to 6:00 PM
Full Time (four to five days) = $69.00 per child, per week
Part Time (one to three days) = $59.00 per child, per week
Family Discount Policy
We will continue to incorporate a family discount plan throughout this school year for families that have more than one child enrolled in the EDC Program on a full-time basis (full-time being 4-5 days per week). This will represent a 10% savings for the second or third child enrolled in our program. Parents will be required to pay the full price for the youngest child enrolled. For all other children, parents will be charged 10% less than the amount listed above. (Please note that the Before School, After School, and Kindergarten EDC Program are considered separately when applying the family discount.)
Tuition is Required To Be Pre-Paid Every Monday
Tuition must be paid in advance of services. Submit a check or money order (no cash) payable to "Parma Schools – EDC" to the EDC Recorder at the beginning of each week. (Tuition can be paid bi-weekly, if paid in advance of services.) Please put your child's name on your check - even if your last name is the same.
No Adjustment in Tuition for Unscheduled School Closings
The EDC tuition based budget is determined using the number of scheduled school days. Also, it is a district policy that all employees are required to be paid for unanticipated school closings, such as snow days. Therefore, there will be no adjustment in tuition for any unscheduled school closings.
Tuition Charged For All Days Children Are Scheduled To Attend
Tuition will be charged for each day your child is scheduled to attend our program even if your child is absent from school due to illness, vacation, doctor’s appointment, etc. Tuition is charged through and including the last day of school.
Tuition will be charged if a child is suspended from day school and does not attend EDC. If a child is suspended from EDC, no tuition will be charged for the suspended days.
Parents must notify the office if their child(ren) will be absent from EDC due to participation in a school sponsored trip. Tuition will not be charged if we are notified and no childcare service is used due to the school trip or school schedule change.
