During the 2007-2008 school year - children enrolled in Extended Day Care can look forward to a wide variety of enrichment programs and presenters in addition to our everyday activities. Various local agencies have created special outreach programs specifically suited to the needs of children who are enrolled in out of school childcare. Speakers from NASA, Outback Ray and his live animal show, Lake Metroparks and Farm Park learning adventures, Young Audience presentations, magic shows, and dance workshops are among the offerings we have scheduled.

Additionally, our kindergarten EDC children will have special units on Johnny Appleseed, the circus, and the planets. We are especially excited about our continuing collaboration with Young Rembrandts that allows our children the opportunity to participate in drawing classes for 6 weeks. Finally, all children enrolled in our after school programs can also participate in bowling at Yorktown Lanes. All enrichment programs are offered at no additional cost to parents except Young Rembrandts and Yorktown Lanes bowling which do require a fee.

Check the EDC bulletin board at your child’s school for upcoming planned events and offerings at each location. School-community partnerships allow us to meet the National School-Age Childcare Alliance Standard of offering enrichment activities to promote basic skills, physical activity, and higher-level learning.

In need of childcare services? We are currently registering new families interested in childcare for the 2007-2008 school year. If you are in need of childcare services before school, after school, or after kindergarten, please contact our office at 440-885-8301.

WE HAVE MOVED!   Our new administrative office address is 5311 Longwood Avenue, Parma 44134. Our offices were relocated from Arlington School to our new location adjacent to Parma High School. We hope you find our new location more convenient for pick up or drop off of enrollment papers or making payments since it is more centrally located in the district.  Our phone numbers have not changed.
