The Mission of the
Department of Information Systems

December 21, 2000

The mission of the Parma City Schools Department of Information Systems is to provide a department that is receptive to new ideas and technology that promote the growth of all individuals. We will be the technology foundation for employee and student growth. The department will provide guidance in, and customization of, new technology to individual buildings and/or departments. We will provide assistance in developing plans to carryout and implement technology programs so that every-one in the school district can be an effective technology user. We will accomplish this by creating an atmosphere that fosters good communication and enables personal growth and commitment. We will be professional, proactive, and positive in our attitude while progressing forward into the future. We will dedicate ourselves to servicing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading equipment to keep current. And, we will offer strategic tools that improve the education of Parma children so that students of diverse backgrounds and talents can meet their full potential.
