Welcome Dentzler Families!
On behalf of the PTA, welcome to the 2007-2008 school year. I am Stacy Severs, your PTA President. I work part time as an LPN and full time mom to three wonderful children - Kailey is a senior at Normandy, Kristen is in fourth grade and Kyle is in second grade. Finding time to volunteer at Dentzler is sometimes a challenge, but my children enjoy seeing me there and I really enjoy hanging out and helping out the children.
Your PTA members are busy planning events which the children have requested. October 11 we had a Fall Festival/ Monster Bash Dance and in April we are bringing back the famous Dentzler Talent Show. Of course there will be class parties, Holiday Shop, Book Fair and Grandpals' Day, to name a few. Your $5.00 membership fee helps fund these events.
Let me introduce the fine group of people who are working for your children:
Honorary President: Dr. Gayle Clapp
1st Vice President: Lisa Dunn
2nd Vice President: Kim Red
3rd Vice President: Shannon Weber
Treasurer: Lisa Piar
Corresponding Secretary: Nancy Haverdill
Recording Secretary: Monica Haubert
Council Delegates: Lisa Amato, Barb Minor
These ladies make up the Executive Board. There are many more wonderful volunteers filling different chairperson positions. My sincere "Thank You!" to all. If you have any time to spare, please volunteer or let me know of any suggestions you may have.
One last thing . . . Don't drop off your child in kindergarten and pick them up the last day of sixth grade. Get involved, show up and be there. The countless big grins with a missing tooth will make you melt.

P.S. Please identify yourself from Dentzler. My kids will think you are a telemarketer and hang up.
