PTA

Dag Hammarskjold PTA is a parent group of volunteers working together to be the voice for our children. With your help, we can continue to work toward National PTA's goal of a quality education and nurturing environment for every child. Along with the Mission of National PTA we provide many services and activities for the students and for the school, to name a few: educational assemblies, holiday shop, ice cream/art show socials, lunch ticket sales, book fair and much more.

We invite and encourage all parents to join and become a member of our PTA and welcome anyone who would like to be more involved and share their time and talent. You will meet new friends and have fun being active in your child’s school experience.

National PTA is the largest volunteer child advocacy organization in the United States. A not-for-profit association of parents, educators, students, and other citizens active in their schools and communities, PTA is a leader in reminding our nation of its obligations to children.

Excellent schools are created through the dedication of superintendents, principals, teachers, parents, and community members who are passionate about student success. We here at Dag are proud to say we have earned The Parent Involvement Schools of Excellence Certification. This certification recognizes schools whose parent involvement programs are based on the National Standards for Parent/Family Involvement Programs.
