Automotive Car Care
Students will learn about all aspects of owning a car -- from buying the right car to performing routine maintenance and repair to insure a long life for the investment. Oil changes, tire rotation, and detailing are a few of the things students will learn to do on their own cars. Students need to supply their own vehicle.

Auto Repair
Learn everything you ever wanted to know about your car. Students will learn about the components of the major system of a car and how they work together. Topics include, engine theory, drive train and steering, and suspension service. Don't miss out on the chance to find out what makes your car go.

Foundations of Technology
This course provides content and experiences that address the nature of technology, technology and society, relationships with other academic content areas, and design concepts, approaches, and requirements. Different technologies provide exciting contexts and content that connects with the real world of current and future problems and exciting opportunities associated with technology. In laboratory-classroom activities, they experience ways to create, use, improve, control, and assess technology that contributes to their technological literacy.

Small Engines
Learn how to repair and maintain small engines. Students will dismantle, inspect and reassemble a small engine, learn how it works, and what the internal parts do. Basic electrical topics will be covered. Don't miss out on the chance to learn basic mechanic type skills.

Woodworking I
Woodworking I is for the beginning student who may have little or no experience. This course will focus on students learning the fundamentals of cabinet making so students can eventually build high quality furniture on their own. Areas of study will include safety and the proper use of power equipment, identifying various woods, figuring board feet, types of fasteners, glues, and finishes. Students can build projects of their own design as time permits.

Woods Technology II
Woods technology II begins where Woodworking I ends. The focus of Woods Technology II is on design and construction of serious wood working projects. Students are expected to make one or more major projects using various equipment. Areas of study include safety, problem solving skills, career opportunities and becoming a better consumer.

Home Improvement
The Home Improvement course is designed to give 9th and 10th grade students skills necessary to make home improvements and perform routine maintenance. The course will teach maintenance on hot water heaters, bathrooms, washers/dryers, windows, lawn mowers, and range/ovens. The course provides information to work with windows, doors, drywall, roofs/spouting, plumbing tools, and building material use.

Welding
The Welding program will provide opportunities to explore careers available in welding. This is an introductory course and is designed to give students basic knowledge in welding safety, correct safety equipment and clothing, and correct use of welding equipment. Students will learn basic horizontal, vertical, and overhead welds. Students will learn to weld with three types of welding machines and lean the correct use and application for each. There is a great need for welders.
