Dental Assisting prepares students for work in dental clinics, hospitals, and in the armed forces. Duties include chair side and surgical assisting, exposing radiographs, maintaining infection control, performing laboratory procedures. This program gives the student opportunities to acquire knowledge in dental terminology/anatomy, dental materials, laboratory skills, radiography, and chair side assisting.
Extra activities are as follows: Columbus Dental Conference, Case Western Reserve School of Dentistry, Preventive Dentistry Program for First Grade Classrooms, Nursing Homes, Dental Laboratories and more.
Students who qualify as Tech Prep may earn 3 semester hours of college credit.
The course fee does not include the cost of a uniform.
Junior class meets 1-3 period.
Senior class mees 6-8 period.
