Using Adobe Acrobat Reader
General Instructions
A PDF document requires a program called Adobe Acrobat Reader. This program is available for free from Adobe. Once this program has been downloaded and installed on your computer, your browser will use it whenever you ask to look at a PDF document. You can also save the PDF document to your computer and look at it later with Acrobat Reader. You can search, print, and copy either the entire document or selected parts.
Printing Instructions
As you navigate through the document, take note of the physical page numbering in the bottom left corner of the screen. When you have identified the physical pages you wish to print, click on printer symbol to the left of the red A in your browser window. Do not click on File Print or the Print button for your browser, they will not work correctly. When the print window opens, you can select either all pages, current page, or a given physical page range. Click on OK when you are ready to print.
Copying Instructions
To copy text from a PDF Document you must first activate the Text Selection Tool. This tool has an upper case T on it. When you click on the tool and move your mouse over the document, you will see the I beam pointer. Move to the start of the text you wish to copy. Left click hold and drag to the end of the text. You should see the area become highlighted, if not, try again. Release the left mouse button, click on Edit, Copy. Now open your word processor, click on Edit, Paste.
